Monday's story about CMS Energy not paying any federal taxes the past two years had a number of readers quite upset.

While most were upset with the company not paying its taxes, there were also those upset that Congress has created such loopholes and tax breaks that allow for this situation to occur.

Dawn Rhines Sebesky, summed up the thoughts on many who commented on the story.

Also on the Cit Pat's Facebook page, Candice Uebrick had somewhat the same reaction.

mibiologist said CMS is just doing what everyone else does.

formercoach1202 said the solution is to lower the tax rate and do away with all the loopholes.

What do you think?

Is it fair that companies are able to use such loopholes in order to not pay any taxes and in some cases, actually get a refund?

Should Congress eliminate all such corporate tax breaks and loopholes?

If you agree to that, should Congress also eliminate tax loopholes on personal taxes like the mortgage interest deduction?
