2010 Negotiations Update #2
• Negotiation activities continue for the OM&C Working Agreement, which expires June 1, 2010. The parties are targeting completion of negotiations by April 1, as was done in 2005.
• As part of the mutual gains bargaining approach, the joint Health Care and Retirement/Pension Option teams presented a wide range of options for the First Table to consider.
• Option teams addressing 1) Training/skilling, 2) Overtime, 3) Meals/premiums 4) Shifts/schedules and 5) Paid absences have been meeting for the last two weeks, requesting data, developing options, and even rating options in some cases.
• The joint data team is accepting data requests from Options teams. No data is shared with an option team unless it has been accepted as reliable and credible by both parties.
• Option teams will report out to the First table in mid-February.
Negotiations updates will be distributed twice per month or as other major milestones are met.
