Consumers Energy and OM&C 2010 Negotiations Update #3
• Negotiation activities continue for the OM&C Working Agreement, which expires June 1, 2010. The parties are targeting completion of negotiations by April 1, as was done in 2005.
• First Table team began discussing a variety of issues this week, including Health Care.
• Option teams addressing 1) Training/skilling, 2) Overtime, 3) Meals/premiums, 4) Shifts/schedules, and 5) Paid absences will present options for consideration to First Table during the next two weeks.
• In addition to hearing Option team presentations, First Table will be developing options to address issues not addressed by Option teams.
• As tentative agreements are made, language is drafted for documentation and eventual review by both parties.
Negotiations updates will be distributed twice per month or as other major milestones are met.
