COUNCIL MEETING NOTICE - SEPTEMBER 7-8, 2012 

July 16, 2012

Dear Delegates:

The next regular meeting of the MSUWC will be held on Friday, September 7 and Saturday, September 8, 2012 at the Traverse City Holiday Inn West Bay, 615 E. Front Street.  A block of rooms has been reserved at the rate of $117.00, single or double occupancy.  Please call 800-888-8020 prior to August 17, 2012, to make your room reservations, and be sure to mention the Council to receive the proper room rates, or you can make your room reservations online by clicking on this link.

Friday's Schedule:

  8:30 AM Registration
  9 - 12 noon Guest Speaker, Author Robert Schwartz
"How to win discipline cases"
  12:15 - 1:15 PM Lunch
  1:30 - 2 PM Reconvene - Robert Schwartz
  2 - 2:15 PM Gary McDowell, Congressional Candidate for 1st District
 

2:15 - 3:30 PM

Campaigns Department, National AFL-CIO
  6 -7 PM Hospitality
  6:45 PM Scholarship Presenation
  7 PM Buffet style dinner

 

For the above educational sessions and lunch, the Council neesd to know the number attending prior to August 20.  Also, each Local needs to contact the Council office prior to August 20 to provide an approximate number of people attending Friday night's reception.

Saturday's meeting will begin at 8:30 AM and will include the following nominations:
