Mack McKenzie has resigned his position of Executive Vice President effective December 31, 2011, and has withdrawn his name as candidate for the position of President in the upcoing election. He will be on sick leave and unavailable through the remainder of the year, therefore, please refer any calls to the Council office.
Per Article V, Section 7 of the Michigan State Utility Workers Council Constitution, ". . . it shall not be necessary to fill such a vacancy when less than sixty (60) days remain . . ." until the next regularly scheduled election of Officers.
Therefore, at the January 13-14, 2012 Reguarly Scheduled Meeting of the MSUWC, there will be a special nomination and election for Executive Vice President following the regularly scheduled elections.
